Undercoat and Spray-in Bed Liner Technician

Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Fixed Operations Manager.
Job Summary: Birchwood Ford is seeking an Undercoating and Spray-In Bedliner Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying spray-in bedliners to new Ford truck inventory, used vehicles, and undercoating products sold through our Business Office. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure all vehicles are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, and completing all required prep work.
• Mask, tape, and cover areas that should not be coated, including lights, bolts, and body panels.
• Operate high-pressure undercoating and bedliner spray equipment to apply consistent, protective coatings.
• Inspect finished applications to ensure even texture, proper thickness, and complete coverage.
• Remove and clean any overspray from the vehicle and surrounding areas.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment, guns, and fluid lines after use.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including daily floor cleaning.
• Monitor inventory levels and request materials and shop supplies as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Undercoating or Spray-In Bedliner Technician is an asset but not required.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a hands-on environment.
