About our Client:

Our client is an industry-leading professional services firm in the legal space.

They are seeking a highly specialized Senior Manager / Director to join their dedicated, expanding team. This role offers regular exposure to corporate professionals in the insurance, legal and related industries.

This role will require a broad range of general business knowledge and experience, and exceptional analytical, accounting and finance skills. You will have the opportunity to learn an industry specific skill set, conduct research, analyze financial activity and prepare very detailed reports that could be used in litigation, arbitration, and mediation.

Key Responsibilities

Liaising with insurance companies, policyholders and their representatives, respective law firms and others
Gathering, assembling and verifying information and documentation from all available sources to endure a thorough compilation of facts required to complete the expert reports.
Communicating with the injured claimants to ensure they are familiar with all aspects of our services
Prepare and review economic loss reports for use in litigation, arbitration, and mediation
Provide independent, objective financial opinions in accordance with professional standards
Providing timely and regular status updates to clients
Staying current with applicable legislative and legal decisions
Preparing engagement proposals, work plans, time budgets and fee estimates

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree with CPA required, CBV would be an asset
Minimum 8 years progressive accounting and finance experience
Minimum 5 years experience in an analytical /technical accounting role
Experience within the Insurance, Legal or related industries is highly preferred.
