Asset Integrity and Welding Engineering
We are seeking an Asset Integrity & Welding Engineer to support our Asset Integrity team in delivering engineering, inspection, and integrity management services across pipeline, oil & gas, and petrochemical facilities. The successful candidate will assist with risk-based inspection (RBI) programs, integrity assessments, detailed drawing reviews, and the evaluation of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Support asset integrity and engineering projects, including RBI program development and implementation.
- Analyze inspection and maintenance data to identify trends, damage mechanisms, corrosion rates, and potential risk factors.
- Conduct P&ID circuitization and contribute to inspection planning and asset integrity assessments.
- Maintain RBI documentation, inspection records, and technical reports.
- Review and assess WPS and PQR documentation for compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.
- Provide technical recommendations and detailed justification when documentation does not meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, technical services, and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Participate in field activities supporting inspections and engineering projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng. or E.I.T.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in pipeline, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries. Asset integrity experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with industry-recognized welding codes and standards applicable to the oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, pressure equipment, and structural steel sectors, including ASME BPVC Sections I, II, VIII, and IX; ASME B31.1 and B31.3; CSA Z662 (including Annex I); API 12F and API 650; CSA W47.1 and W59; and AWS D1.1, D1.4, D1.5, and D1.8.
- Working knowledge of common welding processes, including GMAW, GTAW, MCAW, FCAW, and SAW, with an understanding of welding variables, procedure qualification requirements, material considerations, and the impact of welding parameters on fabrication quality and code compliance.
- Understanding of welding inspection requirements and commonly used non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical report-writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- NDT certifications, laboratory experience, and image processing software experience are considered assets.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Great Health benefits package will be provided after a 3-month probationary period.
