Position Overview

The team member will receive training in the Pre-Cast Department and support production activities involving high-temperature refractory concrete. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Mix and pour high-temperature refractory concretes to create customer-specified shapes.
• Operate power tools, vibration tools, and hand grinders.
• Operate a forklift (training provided if needed).
• Prepare, set up, and clean pre-cast equipment for production runs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and wear required PPE, including respirators.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Complete required logs, reports, and production documentation.
• Communicate with Supervisor to meet daily targets and minimize scrap.
• Support yield improvement and process optimization initiatives.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Review existing processes and recommend improvements where applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle bags up to 25 kg (55 lb).
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Working in a production environment involving heat and dust, with respirator use.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Pre-Cast, Concrete, Refractory, or Masonry (asset).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good analytical and reporting ability.
• Clear communication skills.
• Team-oriented, able to collaborate across departments.
