Qualifications

  • Completion of a professional accounting designation or a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in accounting or financial management.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP Finance or related roles, including experience in system implementation and end-user support.
  • Extensive experience in municipal accounting or relevant private sector experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Extensive SAP business analyst project related experience
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and business processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP Financial Modules (FI, CO), Materials Management and an understanding of SAP integration with other systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly required.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as SAP Fiori.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Proven skills in team collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining associated project documentation as necessary
  • Experience participating in the deployment of the new business processes including end‐user training and transition to support Team
  • Experience working closely with end users to ensure a common understanding of
  • day-to-day operational processes
  • Experience assisting with SAP End‐User training to all relevant stakeholders
  • Experience preparing functional specs for all system changes, working with developers
  • where necessary
  • Experience participating in the following core project areas: solution scoping, requirements analysis, gap analysis, feasibility, functional design, testing, production

Assignment of Duties

  • Document Business Requirements and Functional/Detail Requirements
  • Review and provide input to business requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain associated project documentation as necessary
  • Create test plans, training materials and system documentation for internal and external clients
  • Prepare and maintain SAP business process documentation as necessary and use the SAP business process repository
  • Participate in project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, go‐live and post go‐live support activities
  • Ensure that financial systems adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Mitigate risks by recommending controls within SAP systems.
  • Identify inefficiencies within financial workflows and recommend improvements enabled by SAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations.
  • Analyze complex data and convert business needs into technical solutions.

Deliverables

  • All duties as outlined above in Section 3.0 Assignment Duties
  • Functional specs for development objects
  • Test plans, test cases, use cases, user stories, scenarios and results documents;
  • Documentation of various types of tests (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing);
  • Process and configuration documentation
  • Options documents to support decision making by project leadership
  • Key decision documents
  • Other analyses and reports for Management as needed;
  • Input for training and sustainment model
  • Documentation of issues and risks
  • Other deliverables as directed by management

Requirements
