INTERNALTool Crib Assistant Welding Term Full-timeSeptember 1, 2026, to May 26, 2027Duties: This position is overseen by the Department Head of Trades and receives operational and functional direction, guidance, and instruction from instructors within the supported program areas. The Tool Crib Assistant provides essential support to trades instructors and programming, including assisting students with the safe handling of tools and materials, and offering general assistance to program instructors.Qualifications:The Tool Crib Assistant is required to hold a valid OFA Level 1 First Aid Certification and will be assigned to a shop area only when there is an OFA Level 3 qualified shop attendant accessible. The Tool Crib Assistant must be able to follow directions and guidance accurately and in a timely manner. Familiarity in the use and maintenance of various hand and power tools applicable to the welding trade is also required in the completion of their duties. Grade 12 or equivalent and work experience in the general trades area (carpentry, electrical, mechanics, millwright, welding) is also required. Along with an ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, you will also have well developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and knowledge related to safety and safe work practices and procedures.
