Donation Ambassador (Must Drive!)

Come work for a Home Improvement Donation Store located in Hamilton! Be part of a fantastic, supportive team! The Donation Ambassador is responsible for attaining inventory from a variety of retail and residential donors, all while providing exceptional customer service. Hours: Must be available Mon-Sat 9am-6pm. Pay: $19.05/hr Valid Ontario G license is required. You will be working in store, appraising donations and accepting only good quality, slightly used or new donations to bring into the store while providing an excellent donor experience. On occasion, you will be required to operate a cube can, driving to various locations to load donations and unload them once you are back on site. Duties include, but are not limited to: Inventory Processing (80-90% of the time): Clean, test, repackage, refurbish and repair donated items Participate in pricing of products, prior to movement on the sales floor and assist customers as required Assist in keeping the receiving bay organized, neat and moving product to floor Assist in maintaining the outdoor yard in a tidy manner Driving (up to 20% of the time): Pick up donated products by driving company cube van to and from commercial and residential locations Establish and maintain strong donor relationships by providing exceptional customer Safely load and unload trucks with team members Partner with the Donation Coordinator to efficiently plan routes and schedule pick up times with donors Accurately complete documentation to support the charitable tax receipting process Transport metals for recycling, and refuse to the waste transfer station Apply today!
