About Monie Payments
Monie Payments Corp. is a high growth Financial Technology company based in Toronto that is deploying payment solutions in greenhouses and farms to support farm operations and empower Temporary Foreign Workers employed onsite.
The Opportunity
The Activation Specialist supports the Monie Payments team by engaging directly with our clients across Leamington, Kingsville, and Essex – they will be on site at our client locations for kick-off events and follow-up visits with greenhouses. You will be the face of the program to thousands of workers and worker-services teams at our partner sites.
This is a field role for someone who is energized by people, comfortable switching between Spanish and English all day, and just as credible in a client office as in a lunchroom with the workers.
What You'll Do
The core of this role is leading product demos, supporting workers with initial transactions, and direct engagement with a primarily Spanish-speaking workforce.
Launch new sites
- Work alongside the implementation team on new site deployments: site walkthroughs, delivery coordination, and readiness checks.
- Run launch-day activation events at each new site — demonstrations, sign-ups, and first transactions.
Drive adoption among workers
- Deliver hands-on group and one-to-one demonstrations in Spanish and English, calibrated for a range of literacy and digital-comfort levels.
- Build a presence in break rooms around paydays and shift changes, when workers are available.
- Recruit and support worker champions at each site who can help their coworkers between your visits.
Serve as the bridge to the product team
- Capture what workers struggle with, ask for, and misunderstand — and translate it into clear, specific input for product and design.
What You Bring
Required
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English, spoken and written. You can present, teach, troubleshoot, and build trust in both.
- Experience in a role where success depended on winning people over face to face — field enablement, community outreach, worker services, retail or branch operations, adoption or activation work, or similar.
- High energy and genuine warmth with people, paired with the professionalism to represent our brand in front of both owners and workers.
- Ability to be on-site in Leamington and travel throughout the surrounding greenhouse corridor. Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Comfort working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends aligned to worker schedules and pay cycles.
- Clear written communication and the discipline to keep accurate records of site activity.
You do not need Canadian work experience to apply. We assess candidates on their skills and experience wherever they were earned.
Working Conditions
You will spend most of your time on site at greenhouses and farms. These are active workplaces with varying temperature, humidity, and noise levels.
Why This Role Matters
Greenhouse workers need guidance and coaching to adopt and use new technology with confidence. Every site you activate and every worker you onboard makes a measurable difference to their financial well-being.
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
