Fabrication Mould Technician

Shifts: Day 6:00am-3:00pm Monday - Friday. OT after 40hrs Wage:23.00 per hour Job Description -Ensures that proper machine lock outs are performed on equipment -Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in welding and carpentry. -Cut, shape, and fit materials to create parts and components for moulds. -Assemble mould components using methods such as screwing, welding, or other appropriate techniques to form the final mould. -Determine the optimal method and sequence of tasks to complete assigned work efficiently and effectively. -Ensure that setups align with shop drawings and written instructions. -Fabricate moulds in accordance with specified guidelines and tolerances. -Report material requirements to the Plant Manager or Production Supervisor in a timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS: - Read/interpret drawings, sketches and other construction documents - Work in a team environment - Operation of various hand, power and mechanical equipment -Weld with Mig or Arc - Ability to use basic arithmetic Ability to measure in Metric units and imperial - Ability to rig, hoist and move materials/moulds to areas within the Plant -Perform tasks independently and in a team environment - Proactive thinker and self-starter Accommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
