The opportunity
We are seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team at our Toronto office. In this role, you will own and elevate our company's narrative across all internal and external channels, translating business strategy into compelling communications. You will be responsible for brand positioning, media relations, executive communications, internal messaging, and the rollout of company-wide policies and initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the corporate communications strategy aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
- Manage external public relations including press releases, media relations, and corporate announcements.
- Draft executive communications, leadership updates, CEO messages, and corporate announcements.
- Lead communications for policy rollouts, organizational changes, and strategic initiatives.
- Write and edit press releases, executive speeches, talking points, and Q&A documents.
- Maintain messaging frameworks and ensure consistency across all corporate communications.
- Act as the central communications interface between leadership, HR, Marketing, Legal, and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
- Strong understanding of brand positioning.
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or technology sectors is preferred.
