Requirements:Grade 12 education or equivalent (required)Saskatchewan journeyperson machinist certificate, or equivalent1 year accumulated manual/CNC machine shop experienceCapable of accurately reading calipers, micrometers, protractors and tape measuresTake accurate measurements and data recordingMathematical skills to include fractions, decimals and metric system Familiarity with basic tools and mechanically inclinedAbility to meet the physical demands of the jobAdequate reading and writing skillsAbility to read and comprehend blueprints, engineering plans, work orders, and specificationsWorkplace Responsibilities:Operate lathe and mill to manufacture custom or maintenance parts.Measure and examine specifications using mathematics, micrometers and vernier calipersCheck accuracy of work against blueprints and specificationsWrite basic programs for custom product linesEnsure parts are machined in a timely manner to meet production requirementsTasks and duties:Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and RegulationsFollow safety guidelines (as per our Safety Manual)Meet quality standards (as per our Quality Manual Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managersAbout S3 Group Ltd. A Saskatchewan journeyperson machinist certificate, or equivalent, is required, along with 1 year of accumulated manual/CNC machine shop experience and Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Operate lathe and mill to manufacture custom or maintenance parts, measure specifications with micrometers and calipers, check work against blueprints and specifications, and write basic programs for custom product lines.
You should be capable of accurately reading calipers, micrometers, protractors, tape measures, and blueprints, and have mathematical skills with fractions, decimals, and the metric system.
You must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, follow safety guidelines per the Safety Manual, and meet quality standards per the Quality Manual.
