Forklift Operator (Night Shift)

Integrated Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Operator for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in Moncton, NB. The successful candidate will operate a sit down forklift in a busy freight terminal, loading, unloading, and moving palletized freight safely and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential for permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to safely load, unload, and move palletized freight.
• Move freight throughout the terminal and designated warehouse areas.
• Load and unload trailers efficiently and safely.
• Position and organize freight according to operational requirements.
• Inspect freight and pallets for damage and report any concerns.
• Follow proper forklift operating procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, and surrounding hazards.
• Perform routine forklift checks and report any equipment issues.
• Assist with general dock and warehouse duties as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Extensive sit down forklift experience is required.
• Strong forklift operating skills and experience working with palletized freight.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, freight terminal, or logistics environment is considered an asset.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and maneuver freight in a busy terminal environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
• Forklift certification is not required; training and certification will be provided by the client.
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots are required.
• Additional required PPE will be provided by the client.
• Must be comfortable working a night shift schedule.

What We Offer

• $22.00–$28.00/hour plus 4% vacation pay (depending on experience)
• Includes a $1.00/hour night shift premium
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Full-time employment opportunity
• Monday to Friday night shift
• Approximately 7:00pm – 4:00am/5:00am
• Schedule may vary based on demand and seasonal requirements
• Weekly payroll through direct deposit
