Our commitment to employee empowerment and engagement ensures that every team member can achieve their full potential in an inclusive and collaborative environment.Primary Purpose of PositionReporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems in line with IATF16949. The role is pivotal in continuous improvement activities pertaining to the quality function within the business and is critical in maintaining sound customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesFront line responders to Customer Quality complaints. Ensuring that customer concerns are properly dealt with utilizing problem-solving tools and Corrective Actions (CA's).Manage measurement issues including gauge design and methods, and production GR&R approval/analysisPerform annual GR&R, CP and FMEA reviews where required.PPAP preparation and submission, Product Engineering, Engineering changes, run at rate.Analyzing, documenting and reporting issues of customer returns. Ensure monthly all current service and OEM customers' special requirement are up to date by forwarding latest revisions to Quality Facilitator.Education, experience and skillsBachelors' (or higher) degree in an engineering discipline or Technical College diploma (CET or similar) combined with work experience on the field of studyA Minimum of 2 years quality assurance experience within automotive manufacturingQuality Engineering designation ASQ CQE or equivalent, and Six Sigma Green Belt designationKnowledge of die casting processes (or similar i.e. injection molding, stamping etc)Advanced knowledge of automotive quality systems IATF-16949 and standards.Project management knowledge to be on time and within budget.Why work for Meridian Lightweight Technologies?At Meridian Lightweight Technologies, you'll be part of a team that is shaping the future of lightweight automotive manufacturing. This is a full-time position in the manufacturing category.
A minimum of 2 years quality assurance experience within automotive manufacturing, ASQ CQE or equivalent, Six Sigma Green Belt designation, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical diploma are required.
Advanced knowledge of automotive quality systems IATF-16949 is required, along with knowledge of die casting processes or similar and project management knowledge.
Responsibilities include responding to customer quality complaints, utilizing problem-solving tools and corrective actions, managing measurement issues and GR&R, and performing annual GR&R, CP, and FMEA reviews as needed.
The salary range is $70,000.00–$90,000.00 per year.
