Also, improve all operations through a planned program of continuous improvements and to provide ongoing support to the manufacturing group.Major Responsibilities of PositionWriting specifications for the purchase of new or replacement equipment.Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new equipment.Working closely with suppliers to ensure that products are delivered on time and to specifications.Project management: Continuous improvement of existing equipment.Implement new technologies at manufacturing cells.Troubleshooting: solving and correcting failed or inconsistent manufacturing equipment and systems.Education, Experience and SkillsBachelors' Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering DisciplineA Minimum of 3-5 years automotive engineering experienceSignificant project management experience (PMP is an asset)Excellent Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting experience with elevated understanding of Allen Bradley/Siemens control systemsWorking knowledge of CAD/CAM systems, personal computers and software.Strong understanding of blueprint reading, physics, costing, and value analysisUnderstanding of the OH&S Act and Regulations as well as legislative and customer requirements for item specifications.Why work for Meridian Lightweight Technologies?At Meridian Lightweight Technologies, you'll be part of a team that is shaping the future of lightweight automotive manufacturing. The salary range is $75,000.00–$90,000.00 per year.

A Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 3–5 years automotive engineering experience is required.
