CARSTAR Niagara Falls is seeking an experienced Collision Repair Estimator to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for providing customers and insurance companies with timely and accurate estimates for repairs with the ultimate goal of closing the sale and retaining the job. The estimator is responsible for the communication with the insurance adjuster, technician and customer regarding status of the vehicle. Duties and Responsibilities: * Inspect qualified vehicles and write damage appraisals. * Responsible for handling all Estimates/appraisals, supplements and warranties when dealing with the customer. * Follow up on customer appraisals, in order to increase closing ratio; also can develop and implement follow-up program on appraisals. * Ongoing communication with adjuster, production staff and customer regarding repair status * Ensure insurance files are accurately closed and submitted for payment * Ensure all parts are ordered correctly prior to commencement of the job * Parts ordering and back orders are documented in the file Qualifications: * At least one year's experience in the industry. * Proficient in Mitchell RepairCenter, Mitchell Connect, eClaims Ultramate & Audatex software system * Proficiency in other programs such as Proji, ARMS and Alldata is an asset * Functional/Technical Knowledge on vehicle repair procedures and guidelines * Work independently without close supervision * Flexible/adaptable to constant change * Highly organized individuals with the ability to multitask will be an asset * Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative * Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Company Profile CARSTAR Offers: * Best In Class facility * A competitive compensation plan * Benefits program * Initial and continuous training * Opportunity to grow within CARSTAR Canada Join the leading team and be part of North America's largest and fastest growing collision repair network.
