We're adding 90,000+ sq. ft. to our facility and investing in new technology and equipment as we continue to grow. With this expansion comes an exciting opportunity for a motivated CNC Machine Operators to join our team.
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring a variety of fully automated CNC machinery and production equipment used in the processing and fabrication of steel products.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with CNC equipment, technology, measurements, and metal fabrication and takes pride in producing accurate, quality work. You'll be working in a busy, fast-paced environment where efficiency, attention to detail, and quality workmanship are important.
Responsibilities
- Operate various fully automated CNC machines and production equipment, including but not limited to:
- CNC steel shot blasting system
- CNC automated steel roller system
- CNC milling and drilling machine
- CNC bandsaw machine
- CNC plasma, beam, channel, angel and square-tube coping machines
- Oversee the daily flow of materials through the production line and ensure materials are properly loaded, processed, and moved through each stage of production.
- Perform daily production data entry, including material information, production quantities, machine activity, and other required production records.
- Monitor automated machinery during operation and identify equipment issues, material problems, or production abnormalities.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting within the scope of the position and report mechanical or technical issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Verify materials and finished products meet production specifications and quality requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work closely with the fabrication team to meet production schedules, maintain quality standards, and keep materials moving efficiently through the shop.

Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery, automated production equipment, or industrial manufacturing equipment is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate multiple types of automated machinery.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately enter production data.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to identify and report equipment or production issues.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a production team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada. LMIA sponsorship is not available.
- Based in the Ponoka / Central Alberta Area or willing to relocate.

We offer competitive starting wages beginning at $28-$36, with final rates determined by your experience, skill level, and how well you align with the role.
