Duties & Responsibilities:Operate and maintain boilers and auxiliary equipmentMonitor boiler water chemistry and water treatment systemsOperate and maintain Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systemsMonitor wastewater treatment, fire protection, and compressed air systemsPerform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairsComplete required inspections, logbooks, and maintenance documentationEnsure compliance with TSASK regulations, food safety standards, and company policiesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWork collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support plant operationsFollow all company policies related to safety, food safety, GMPs, environmental standards, and ethical conduct.Qualifications:Must hold a valid 4th class steam engineering ticketKnowledge and/or understanding of steam plants is requiredMust have strong mechanical skillsMut be knowledgeable and comfortable working with various treatment chemicalsHave the ability to multi-task and work in a highlight organized fashion with particular attention to detailMust be able to work independently in all-weather conditions and be comfortable working at elevated heights and in confined spacesMust be self-motivated with the ability to self-manage prioritiesRequired to have flexibility and availability for shift work including nights and weekendsMust be able to work in a grain processing environment that exposes staff to allergens such as grain and grain dust Hours of workWhile this position is normally scheduled Mon-Fri 8 hrs/day, you will be required to cover absenteeism for shift power engineers as necessary. Flexibility and availability for working OT and changing shifts is required and this position can expect fluctuations in work schedules. This role is for a Utility 4th Class Ticket Engineer based in Yorkton, SK.
