Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Facilities & Maintenance, the primary focus of the Maintenance Supervisor is to support and continuously improve all aspects relating to the production and processing of composite utility poles. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.Responsibilities:Daily review and investigation of equipment performance issues from shift summaries and downtime database entries to coordinate repairs as neededSupport skilled trades staff and Production Dept. daily to maintain equipment uptimeGenerate work orders and assist skilled trades in scheduling, component sourcing, completion and follow up communicationAssist in troubleshooting machine issuesInvolvement in weekly Maintenance communication meetingsAdministrative duties including handling vacation bookings, shift changes, schedule extra shifts when needed and answering payroll questions, etc. for skilled trades staffSafety work orders-develop and coordinate completion and follow upMonitor wet-out box cleaning performance and scheduleLockout locks system administrationVendor coordination: bulk waste, yard maintenance, propane, janitorial, work clothes, snow maintenance, etc.Participate in weekly Production meetings as scheduledParticipate in 5S and Lean activitiesHazard and Corrective Action items - work on repairs/remediation of safety issuesBuilding repairs - quote and schedule work with vendors or internal staffIT support - ethernet cables/equipment, material procurement and install, etc.Red Tag Event involvement and follow throughJHSC member and meetingsShutdown planning and work orders schedulingFire systems inspections and repairsAnnual budget and capital project planningAct as backup to equipment PM system administratorMaintenance stock room inventory re-ordering and stock status monitoringOther duties as assignedTraining / Qualifications:Technical post-secondary school diploma/degreeMinimum 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment with duties that include coordinating work with skilled trades and CMMS useAbility to coordinate and follow up on multiple tasks at one timeWorking Conditions:Industrial production environmentHot & humid areas within the plantTime critical support requiredInteraction with chemicals, heavy machinery, and moving equipmentOvertime will be required as necessary Job Posted by ApplicantPro
