We are dedicated to the mission of maximizing our client's ability to live independently by providing support services for adults with physical disabilities or brain injuries.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LIFE SKILLS FACILITATORAs a Life Skills Facilitator, you rely on your strong previous experience to learn the ins and outs of all your essential daily duties. This position is based out of our day program site, which provides services to adults with acquired brain injuries. Typical duties at the day program site include, but are not limited to: implementation of behaviour management techniques to ensure life skills programs are delivered effectively, teaching and retraining lost or impacted skills based on the analysis of client requirements (using very specific teaching and monitoring models), hands-on provision of attendant care and life skills programs, and you will work collaboratively with the Traverse Independence team, the client, his/her caregivers, family members, and other service providers to ensure the highest quality of services are delivered. You will communicate effectively with our clients and their families to ensure that they have the best quality of care. In addition, you will leverage your computer skills to keep up with charting and updating all records.
