The role:
TalentSphere is partnering with a larger Revit-based architecture firm urgently seeking a seasoned Senior Interior Designer: Team Lead Interior Designer. The firm has expertise in large scale residential projects with multiple stakeholders; & seek an Interior Designer with 9-12 years of full-time experience; ready to transition to a Department Head role, with mentoring, after 18-24 months. You are confident; have A-Z interior design experience. Reporting to the Lead Interior Designer and other leaders, you seek continued growth in a firm with decades of experience and repeat clients. Varied project typology welcome; but you must have 5+ mid to larger scale residential projects (100+ units) experience. Preference for ARIDO tracked candidates or PMP certification.
What they seek:

  • 9~12 years of full-time Interior design experience; preference for candidates that are ARIDO tracked; or with PMP certification
  • Preference for candidates living in Markham, Newmarket, Vaughan, Richmond Hill or North York with a dedicated car and G license
  • Proficiency in Revit skills; Adobe Suite especially InDesign; experience with Bluebeam and Revit rendering software
  • Proven experience managing teams across multiple projects; keeping projects on time and on budgets; timesheets, mentoring others
  • Strong OBC, NBC and AODA knowledge; confidence overseeing projects with multiple authorities having jurisdiction
  • Advanced FFE skills; solid millwork and lighting (reflected ceilings); lead or support color selection, finishes and material palettes
  • Ability to coordinate closely with internal and external teams, including clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to drive project progress.
  • Exceptional communication skills including free-hand sketching to communicate ideas quickly to decision makers in structured teams
  • Experience mentoring others; reviewing construction documentation drawings
  • Experience in leading and participating in design presentations
