Labourer - Road Construction

Working alongside Operators and Supervisors, Labourers are responsible for a wide range of physically demanding tasks in an outdoor construction environment. This role supports daily production activities, site preparation, material handling and general labour duties while contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our projects. Job ResponsibilitiesLoad, unload and move construction materials to support daily productionPrepare and maintain work areas to ensure efficient crew operationsPerform manual grading, digging and site preparation where equipment use is not practicalOperate small equipment such as rollers and skid steers once qualifiedFollow Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodation in Work Zones requirementsPerform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenanceWork with hot mix, cold mix asphalt and gravel materialsAssist with grading and slope controlMark manholes and water valves as requiredQualificationsValid Class 5 Drivers License requiredClass 3 and/or Q Endorsement (Airbrakes) are considered strong assetsPrevious asphalt or construction experience is an assetAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditionsStrong work ethic and commitment to safetyCurrent driver's abstract required prior to hireWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonMany of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
