Class 1 Super B - Highway Asphalt Hauling

This role involves hauling hot mix asphalt from our mobile asphalt plants to our highway paving projects and working closely with paving crews and plant operators. Drivers must be comfortable working in active construction zones. This position involves out of town work with hotel accommodations provided by the company.Job ResponsibilitiesOperate Super B configurations safely and efficientlyHaul hot mix asphalt from our plants to highway paving projectsDump asphalt safely into pickup machines or designated areasWork closely with paving crews, plant operators, supervisors and dispatchComplete daily trip inspections, logbooks and required paperwork using company paper and electronic systemsEnsure loads are within legal limits and properly managedFollow all company safety policies, transportation regulations and site requirementsCommunicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors and site personnelReport equipment issues, incidents and near misses promptlyPerform basic equipment care and minor maintenance as neededQualificationsValid Class 1 Driver's Licence with current driver's abstractExperience operating Super B configurations preferredExperience hauling hot mix asphalt considered an assetAbility to work safely in active highway construction environmentsAbility to work extended hours, overtime and weekends during the paving seasonStrong commitment to safety, reliability and teamworkWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonMany of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
