Reports To: HR Manager

Wage Range: $22 - $28 per hour

As an HR Coordinator, you will provide support for all departments at the distribution center, including recruiting, benefits, payroll, and new employee orientation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Posts open positions, performs candidate screening and behavioral interviews as part of the hiring process
  • Onboards new employees and ensure paperwork, badges are completed and processed in UKG
  • Maintains HRIS (UKG) records and prepares HR reports and metrics
  • Supports benefits administration, leave management, and Worker's compensation claims
  • Provides guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Research changes to employment legislation and HR best practices to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Assists in benchmarking research to keep HR practices competitive
  • Reviews and recommends updates to HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Acts as the primary backup to the HR Specialist during absences and peak workload periods
  • Provides afternoon and evening HR support for employees

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Completion of a Human Resources Management program is required
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Trustworthiness to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and other departments
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • CHRP designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset
  • Customer service skills to serve employees in an appropriate manner
  • Previous knowledge or experience in Human Resources

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; 10:30 am -7:00 pm
  • Work that is both independent and team oriented.
