Job Title: Intermediate Accountant

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000

Overview We are currently recruiting on behalf of an organization in the Toronto area operating within the logistics and manufacturing sectors. They are seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to support their day-to-day finance function. This role is ideal for a proactive team player who enjoys hands-on, full-cycle operational accounting, including heavy AP/AR coordination, inventory oversight, and account reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle AP and AR activities, including vendor bill verification, customer invoicing, collections, and weekly payment runs
• Perform month-end closing activities, general ledger journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Track and reconcile inventory, freight costs, and billing documentation across operations
• Prepare sales tax filings (HST/GST) and assist with annual audit schedules and compliance requests
• Reconcile bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and intercompany transactions
• Investigate reporting variances and partner with internal operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocations

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment
• Solid understanding of core AP/AR processes, general ledger management, and inventory costing principles
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics 365, NetSuite) and intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel capabilities
• Working towards a CPA designation is considered a strong asset
• Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy

Compensation

• $65,000 - $70,000 annually, plus benefits package
