To provide the teams at MLTI with information and direction relating to all areas of health, safety and the environment. To develop training material and programs which support the team concept and provide training to team members in a variety of skills and programs, particularly safety.Responsibilities of the PositionOngoing review and updating of EMS ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and laws and conformance to the ISO 14001 standard.JH&S Committee: Active member and coordinate meetings at all locations. Assist in follow up with action items.Complete and coordinate all WSIB related activities and manage all employee Return to Work programs.Conduct regular safety audits (safety awareness & hazard identification).Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization with regard to HSE issue as required H&S Co-ordination: Ensure compliance with ALL related Acts, regulations, and standards and to also keep current with these as they relate to our industry. This is a full-time position located in Strathroy, ON.
The salary range is $60,000.00–$80,000.00 per year.
Responsibilities include ongoing reviews of EMS for ISO 14001 compliance, active JH&S committee involvement, coordinating WSIB activities and Return to Work programs, conducting safety and environmental audits, and coordinating H&S audits and training.
Required qualifications include Occupational Health and Safety certification and designation as a Health and Safety Professional, plus a university or college degree in a Health and Safety discipline; ISO 14000 or 18000 auditor training is also indicated.
