QA Lab Technician -Meat Processing-$25-$27/hr. -Day Shift

QA Lab Technician – Meat Processing | HACCPLocation: Etobicoke, ON
Pay: $25.00–$27.00/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
We are hiring a QA Lab Technician to join a busy meat processing facility in Etobicoke. The ideal candidate has experience in Quality Assurance, QA/QC, HACCP, food safety, laboratory testing, and meat processing.
Responsibilities

• Perform water activity, microbiological, allergen, chemical, and environmental testing
• Conduct product, water, and environmental sampling/swabbing
• Perform sanitation chemical testing and equipment calibration
• Maintain QA records, test results, and verification documents
• Support HACCP, food safety, product holds/releases, and ingredient verification
• Assist with regulatory inspections, facility audits, and room temperature monitoring
• Complete Chain of Custody documentation and enter test results into spreadsheets
• Assist with associate training and HACCP program reassessments

Requirements

• QA/QC or laboratory experience in meat processing or food manufacturing
• Understanding of HACCP principles and meat-processing regulations
• Knowledge of manufacturing and food safety practices
• Technical Science or related diploma/degree preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a cold environment (4–10°ree;C)
