We are currently looking for a Heavy Duty Apprentice Mechanic to assist our maintenance team in Revelstoke. The successful candidate will be an individual with a flexible schedule to work with our teams across multiple civil construction projects throughout British Columbia.

Expectations

• Self -starter who can listen to direction and work independently.
• Strong work ethic, reliable and positive team attitude.
• Ability to understand and effectively use repair and parts manuals written in English.
• Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.
• Performing other duties as required.
• Must participate and develop Safe Work Procedures.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired.
• Set up in the BC apprentice program is an asset but not required. We are willing to work with someone who wants to get into the industry on a trial basis.
• Welding experience is a definite asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Air Brake endorsement would be an asset).

• Experience with construction equipment is desired but not required.
