Apave Canada has immediate need experienced API Inspectors for temporary projects within our Visual Inspection Services Department. Project opportunities are available at various locations across Western Canada.

Apave Canada has been serving the oil and gas, petroleum and petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pipeline and potash industries since 1953. Our Canadian operations currently provide services from Edmonton, Regina, Calgary, Cold Lake, Saskatoon, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lloydminster, Nisku, Red Deer. Our USA operations provide services from 23 office locations, our United Kingdom operations provide services from 7 office locations, and our Australian operations provide services from 5 locations. Job Duties:

  • Conducting pressure equipment inspections at facilities and field sites for various industries;
  • Recommending, planning, and reviewing NDT examination results;
  • Certifying pressure equipment to provided standards and jurisdictional requirements.


Required Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have the following certifications and experience:

  • Current API 510 certification (additional API certifications are an asset);
  • At least 5 years of experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software;
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • ABSA ISI and/or TSASK PEI certification is a strong asset;
  • Current IRATA rope access certification would be considered an asset;
  • Holding CGSB NDT certifications (MT/PT and/or UT) would also be considered an asset.

Safety Requirements:

• Commitment to all site-specific safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Steel-toe boots are required; Apave Canada will provide additional PPE.

• Participation in project-specific orientations, training programs, and fit-for-duty requirements may be required.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.
