Prince Albert Toyota is growing again and we an immediate opening for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician. SGI accreditation is an asset but not a requirement. The successful candidate will be required to hold a valid class 5 drivers license, have their own tools (a tool box will be provided), and a great attitude!

Core Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics: Use advanced scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
  • Repairs: Perform component-level and system-wide repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and exhaust systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute standard servicing like oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and wheel alignments.
  • Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles and adjust repaired systems to guarantee they meet or exceed factory performance specifications.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of labor hours, parts used, and inspection findings for service advisors and customers.
  • Mentorship: Guide and oversee junior apprentices while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certification: Hold a Journeyman certification or an Interprovincial Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
  • Tools: Possess a comprehensive, professional set of automotive hand tools.
  • Physical & Technical Skills: The ability to lift heavy parts, use complex heavy equipment (like hoists), and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Licensing: A valid driver's license (e.g., a Saskatchewan Class 5) with a clean abstract
