This posting is for an existing vacancy. We have a great opportunity for an Accountant to join a well-established, mid-sized growing organization in the West End GTA. The company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong full-cycle accounting experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is looking to grow their career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring payroll is completed accurately and in compliance with applicable legislation and company policies. Training will be provided if required.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting analyses.
  • Process customer payments and supplier invoices, ensuring timely collections and vendor payments.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and file HST returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Support external audits, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure effective internal controls.
  • Partner with internal departments to improve financial processes and provide accounting support across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
