We foster a culture where respect is foundational, innovation is encouraged, and safety is never compromised.At Cementation, we value experience and are inspired by potential.About this PositionThe Project Controls Manager is accountable for the integrity, integration, and governance of all project control systems associated with cost, schedule, change, progress measurement, and performance reporting for the project.The role provides leadership to a multi‑discipline project controls team and ensures that accurate, timely, and decision‑quality information is produced in compliance with Cementation and Client requirements, supporting safe execution, commercial performance, and informed management decision‑making across all phases of the project.Key Responsibilities:Health and SafetyProvide visible leadership of Cementation's HSE culture.Ensure project control processes (change control, schedule logic, forecasting) actively support safe and compliant execution of work.Integrate HSE metrics into project performance dashboards and management reports in alignment with CCI and `client requirements.Support HSE assurance activities, audits, and reviews by ensuring accuracy and traceability of control data.Project Controls and SystemsDevelop, implement, and maintain the Project Controls Management Plan in alignment with corporate and client standards.Establish and enforce project standards for:Cost control and forecastingSchedule development and progress measurementChange Management and trend control Performance reporting and data governanceEnsure alignment and integration between project controls systems and:Engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activitiesFinance, accounting, and commercial functionsManage interfaces with client project controls, assurance, and audit teams, ensuring transparency and compliance.Ensure control systems are scalable, auditable, and fit‑for‑purpose for the size and complexity of the project.Cost Management & Forecasting LeadershipProvide leadership and oversight of all project cost control activities.Ensure the integrity of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.Review and approve cost reports, forecasts, and trend analyses prior to internal and client submission.Lead cost variance analysis and ensure timely identification, validation, and escalation of cost risks and opportunities.Ensure cost forecasts accurately reflect scope changes, productivity performance, schedule impacts, and commercial risks.Support the Project Manager in cost‑related decision‑making and executive reporting.Schedule Management & IntegrationOwn and be accountable for the integrated project schedule.Provide oversight of schedule development, updating, logic quality, and critical path analysis.Ensure schedule integration with:Cost forecastingProgress measurementChange management and claims analysisReview schedule risks, float consumption, and schedule trends; communicate impacts to the Project Manager and leadership team.Ensure schedule data supports credible forecasting and decision‑makingChange Management & Commercial ControlsEstablish and enforce the project change management process in accordance with contract and client requirements.Lead the identification, evaluation, approval, and tracking of project changes.Maintain oversight of:Change and trend registersEarly warnings and potential claimsCommercial impact assessments Coordinate closely with commercial, legal, and client teams to support claims, negotiations, and dispute avoidance.Ensure change impacts to cost, schedule, and risk are fully integrated into project forecasts and reports.Reporting, Performance & Decision SupportDefine and maintain project reporting frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards.Review and approve all internal and client‑facing project controls reports.Ensure clear linkage between cost, schedule, risk, change, and progress data.Provide concise, executive‑level performance narratives that support timely and effective decision‑Ensure reports meet client assurance, governance, and audit expectations.Team Leadership & Capability DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a multi‑discipline project controls team across cost, scheduling, change, and administration functions.Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and interfaces within the Project Controls team.Plan and manage resourcing to ensure adequate coverage across all project phases.Conduct performance management, mentoring, and capability development for team members.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the controls function.Client & Stakeholder InterfaceAct as the primary project interface with client project controls, assurance, and audit representatives.Support the Project Manager during high‑risk commercial, schedule, and performance discussions.Ensure timely, professional, and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders.Represent the project controls function in management, client, and executive forums as required.Skills and Leadership Competencies:Technical Project Controls LeadershipStrong understanding of integrated cost, schedule, change, and performance management systems.Demonstrated experience establishing and governing project control frameworks on large projects.Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.Management & CommunicationProven leadership capability managing multi‑discipline professional teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level reporting.Ability to influence outcomes across functional and organizational boundaries.Systems & Data InterpretationStrong analytical and problem‑solving capability.Ability to distill large volumes of data into clear visuals and narratives.Proficiency with project control systems, ERPs, and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6).Experience and Qualifications:Minimum 3–5 years' experience leading project controls teams on large construction or mining projects.Experience working under owner assurance, stage‑gate, or external audit environments.Underground construction or shaft‑related project experience is considered a strong asset.CandidacyPlease note that to be considered, you must be a Canadian citizen or have written authorization to work in Canada under federal immigration requirements and currently be residing in Canada.Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionAt Cementation Americas, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee is treated with dignity and respect.
