The Role

Reporting to the leadership team, the CNC Cabinetry Engineer is responsible for translating cabinetry designs into accurate CNC-ready production files while supporting projects from design through manufacturing and installation. This role combines technical drafting, CNC programming, project coordination, and manufacturing support to ensure every project is produced efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & CNC Programming

  • Prepare detailed CNC-ready shop drawings and CNC programs using cabinet design software.
  • Convert design concepts into accurate manufacturing files for production.
  • Review project specifications to ensure manufacturability, accuracy, and quality.
  • Optimize CNC programming for efficient production and material utilization.

Project Coordination

  • Visit job sites to verify measurements and confirm cabinetry layouts.
  • Coordinate cabinet, plumbing, appliance, and electrical requirements to ensure proper fit and installation.
  • Collaborate with designers, production staff, and installers throughout each project.
  • Monitor projects through manufacturing, ensuring quality and consistency from start to finish.

Manufacturing Support

  • Source and order project materials and hardware.
  • Prepare production documentation, shipping packages, and installation information.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of CNC equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in production efficiency and workflow.

Qualifications

  • Experience in CNC programming, cabinet engineering, cabinet drafting, or custom millwork.
  • Experience using cabinet design software such as Mozaik or similar CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of custom cabinetry construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create detailed technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working with automated CNC equipment and manufacturing technology.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Cabinetmaking or woodworking experience is considered an asset.
