Working closely with Property Managers and Maintenance Technicians, you'll contribute to the ongoing upkeep and revitalization of our properties, helping ensure residents are proud to call our communities home. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete interior and exterior painting projects across residential properties, ensuring a high-quality finish that enhances property appearance and resident satisfaction.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, patching, cleaning, and removing old paint as required.
  • Apply paints, primers, and protective coatings to preserve building surfaces and safeguard against water damage, mold, and water.
  • Perform general aesthetic maintenance and touch-ups to support the overall condition and curb appeal of the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Property Managers and Maintenance Technicians to prioritize work, address property needs, and maintain high operating standards.
  • Manage painting materials, equipment, and inventory efficiency while identifying opportunities to reduce supply and operating costs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of materials following each project.
  • Available for on-call duties, evenings and weekends. Hours may change based on operational needs.

Crucial Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong painting skills with experience preparing, repairing, and finishing a variety of surfaces.
  • Knowledge of paints, primers, coatings, and common painting tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to safely work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices and the ability to maintain safe work environment.

Education & Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience.
  • Commercial painting experience is required.
  • Experience with exterior building painting, balcony painting, line painting, and low-rise residential properties.
  • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders and related equipment safely.
  • Eligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Drivers License.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Residential Tenancies legislation and landlord/tenant responsibilities considered an asset.
