Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and ensures quality standards are met and aligned with customer requirements. The Quality Inspector is responsible to follow and enforce quality standards, policies and procedures in support of efficient quality management.Afternoon Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.Core CompetenciesTechnical knowledge of precision machiningAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and documentsAnalytical and problem solver Ability to perform first-off, in-process and final inspectionsKnowledge of metals, metal alloys and engineered plasticsProgramming and operation of CMM and vision systemsKnowledge of various measuring tools and gauges such as CMM and Vision systems, verniers, callipers and micrometresKnowledge of surface finish and measurementResponsibilities:Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections of parts as well as incoming material and component inspections to ensure they meet quality standardsUse CMM and Vision systems and various gauges and measuring devicesApply sound judgment in making quality-related decisions and problem-solvingExperience:University degree in engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years of direct quality work experience in a precision machining environmentDetailed-orientated and analytical decision makerAbility to read, review and create technical documents Knowledge of precision measuring devicesPlease note that we will only be able to respond to successful candidates. This role is based in Mississauga, ON.
Salary is listed as $27.00–$30.00 per hour.
Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections of parts and incoming materials to ensure quality standards, using CMM, Vision systems, and various gauges and measuring devices.
An University degree in engineering or equivalent and minimum 5 years of direct quality work experience in a precision machining environment.
Knowledge of CMM and Vision systems, verniers, calipers, micrometers, and the ability to read technical drawings and documents.
All successful candidates must pass a criminal background check within the first 90 days of probation.
