Securicare is seeking a Healthcare Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to support our healthcare security operations across Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) sites in Metro Vancouver. In this role, you will act as the central communication hub, monitoring security systems, coordinating incident response, and supporting frontline staff to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. A valid BC Security Worker Licence (SWL) is required, along with at least 1 year of security guard experience and 6 months as a control room operator/dispatcher, preferably in healthcare or a security environment.
Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls related to security incidents and medical emergencies; monitor CCTV and life-safety systems; dispatch personnel and coordinate responses; maintain incident logs and assist in emergencies like lockdowns and evacuations.
You will work with dispatch software and communication systems such as two-way radios, telephone systems, and computer-aided dispatch software, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office and security systems like TrackTik.
Experience in healthcare or similar fast-paced environments is strongly preferred, with strong knowledge of patient safety, incident response, and emergency procedures.
