As an instructor in Adult Basic Education (ABE), you will provide instruction for six courses in the Adult 10 program. This position includes the following accountabilities:

• Prepare lesson plans and appropriate delivery methods
• Create, maintain, and submit all course-related materials, including evaluations, attendance records, course evaluations, and annual year plans
• Incorporate current technology advancements within instruction and administration where applicable
• Make recommendations to modify course objectives, course outlines, curriculum, and evaluation procedures and instruments
• Adhere to and promote academic regulations and SIIT policies and procedures
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional working relationship among students, coworkers, and partners across the institution
• Ensure a positive, diverse, and inclusive work and learning environment
• Maintain classroom and lab discipline and, if necessary, recommend action to the applicable supervisor regarding student behavior, including formal student disciplinary action

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor of Education from an accredited institution
• Must possess a Saskatchewan teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain one
• An understanding of adult learning theories and principles is considered an asset
• Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is considered an asset
