The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic business partner and works with senior leadership to support their designated core clients which includes: district management, store management and retail store employees. The Senior HRBP will join an HR team focused on making a positive impact on the business and our people through creating and developing process improvements, project implementation, and offering creative talent solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic HR partnership to senior leaders to support business objectives and organizational performance
  • Leads complex employee relations matters and offers expert guidance to leaders on sensitive or high-impact situations
  • Advises on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
  • Coaches and mentors HR team members, elevating HR capability and ensuring consistency in HR delivery
  • Drives talent management initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and performance calibration
  • Partners with leaders to strengthen employee engagement, team effectiveness, and retention strategies
  • Analyzes HR data and trends, providing insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making
  • Collaborates with other departments to implement HR programs, policies, and processes
  • Supports the execution of company-wide HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Performs other related duties as required to support evolving business and HR priorities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of generalist experience in human resources management
  • Minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development or related program of study Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • Specialized training in employment law, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, leadership and proactive employment relations is considered an asset
  • Certification in HR preferred
  • Knowledge of provincial employment laws and practices on a national level
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • High level of confidentiality and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills
