Job Description
Electrical Apprentice – 2nd or 3rd Year
Symmetry Electric Inc. is hiring a qualified 2nd- or 3rd-year electrical apprentice with strong residential experience to join our growing team in Ottawa and the Outaouais.
We are looking for someone who is committed to the electrical industry, takes pride in their workmanship and approaches each job with a problem-solving mindset.
Experience Required

• Residential service upgrades and panel replacements
• Generator and transfer-switch installations
• Residential renovations and new construction
• Troubleshooting and service work
• EV chargers, subpanels and dedicated circuits
• Reading electrical drawings and following the Canadian Electrical Code
• Producing clean, organized and code-compliant work

Requirements

• Registered 2nd- or 3rd-year electrical apprentice (Valid Skilled Trades Ontario #)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong residential electrical experience
• Own basic hand tools
• Dependable, punctual and professional with clients
• Committed to learning and developing within the electrical trade
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces and outdoors
• Strong attention to detail and jobsite cleanliness
