About Penta

At Penta Equipment, we build equipment that works as hard as the people who use it. For more than 25 years, we've manufactured TMR mixers, spreaders, dump boxes, and truck mounts for the agriculture industry, earning a reputation for building durable, dependable equipment.

With operations in Glencoe and Thamesville, we're a growing Ontario manufacturer focused on building quality equipment, improving our operations, and developing the people who make it all happen. We value practical thinking, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement—and we're looking for someone who shares that mindset.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Production Supervisor to join our leadership team in our Glencoe facility.

Working alongside an experienced Production Supervisor, you'll share responsibility for leading our fabrication operations, balancing labour and production priorities, solving problems in real time, and ensuring production flows safely and efficiently from one department to the next.

You'll be on the production floor—supporting employees, removing obstacles, coordinating with other departments, and making the decisions needed to keep production moving. You'll lead one of our fabrication areas while partnering closely with your fellow supervisor to maintain alignment across the operation and respond quickly as priorities change.

Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, making sound decisions under pressure, and creating an environment where people understand what's expected of them and have the support they need to succeed.

This opportunity is available as a result of an internal promotion, reflecting our commitment to developing leaders from within.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of our fabrication facility
  • Plan and allocate labour to meet production schedules safely and efficiently
  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and remove roadblocks before they impact production
  • Coach, develop, and support employees through regular feedback and accountability
  • Partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to resolve issues and maintain production flow
  • Promote a culture where safety, quality, and teamwork are everyday expectations
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve throughput, efficiency, and quality
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor

As a Production Supervisor, you'll serve as the connection between planning and execution—aligning people, priorities, and production to deliver results every day. This closely reflects the role's formal mandate to manage labour and resources, monitor work-in-progress, remove roadblocks, and coordinate across functions to keep the operation moving.

Our Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a leader first.

You may currently be a Production Supervisor, Team Lead, Lead Hand, Manufacturing Coordinator, or someone who's ready to take the next step into leadership.

We're looking for someone who understands that strong leadership is about developing people, solving problems, and delivering results—not simply directing work.

The right candidate will:

  • Lead by example and earn credibility through action
  • Build strong relationships based on trust and respect
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with employees and other departments
  • Stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions
  • Solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to solve them
  • Hold themselves and others accountable for results
  • Enjoy coaching, mentoring, and developing people
  • Balance safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement when making decisions

Experience in welding, fabrication, or metal manufacturing is an asset, but leadership capability, operational thinking, and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Why Penta?

At Penta, we believe great supervisors make a significant difference in the success of our business.

You'll join a leadership team that's focused on building a strong culture, improving our processes, and developing our people. You'll have the opportunity to influence how work gets done, contribute to meaningful continuous improvement initiatives, and grow your own leadership capability as the business continues to evolve.

If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact—not just manage a shift—we'd like to hear from you.
