About the Role: Mobile Reefer Technician (On the Road)We are currently seeking a Mobile Reefer Technician to join our clients growing team. This is a full-time, field service position where you'll travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigerated trailers, transport refrigeration units, and generator sets (gensets).Whether you're an experienced technician or have a strong mechanical or HVAC background looking to grow your career, this is an excellent opportunity to work independently, provide exceptional customer service, and become a trusted service professional in the transportation refrigeration industry.What You'll Do: Mobile Reefer Technician (On the Road)
- Travel to customer locations to perform on-site service and repairs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration systems on refrigerated trailers, containers, and gensets.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs.
- Repair and replace refrigeration components.
- Detect and repair refrigeration leaks.
- Complete soldering, brazing, and welding repairs as required.
- Prepare repair estimates and communicate recommendations to customers.
- Complete accurate service reports and work orders using electronic or paper-based systems.
- Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service while representing the company.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.
What We're Looking For: Mobile Reefer Technician (On the Road)
- Experience with transport refrigeration, HVAC, diesel, or mechanical repair.
- Factory training on refrigeration equipment is considered an asset.
- Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and email).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage your schedule.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and professional with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs (45 kg) with assistance.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in mobile service environments and customer facilities.
