Nooma Space is looking for energetic, reliable, and passionate Program Leaders to deliver engaging after-school programs, camps, and community activities for children ages 5–12. Our programs include LEGO building, dance, arts & crafts, sports, games, and other creative enrichment activities designed to build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate a variety of children's programs, including LEGO, dance, arts & crafts, and other enrichment activities.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Engage children through fun, interactive, and age-appropriate activities.
  • Manage group behaviour using positive leadership and encouragement.
  • Set up and clean up program materials before and after each session.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and fellow team members.
  • Arrive prepared and on time for every program.
  • Represent Nooma Space with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children ages 5–12 in schools, camps, childcare, recreation, coaching, or similar settings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Energetic, patient, and able to keep children engaged.
  • Comfortable leading groups of up to 20 children.
  • Reliable, organized, and punctual.
  • Able to adapt activities to different ages and abilities.
  • Current First Aid certification and a clear Criminal Record Check are considered strong assets.

Schedule

  • Programs are typically held Monday to Friday between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
  • Additional hours may be available through camps, Pro-D Days, special events, and workshops.
  • Applicants should have availability during these afternoon hours.

Transportation

  • A valid driver's license is an asset.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle is preferred, as programs are held at various schools and community locations throughout the Lower Mainland.
