About Us

SecurIBC is an established managed IT services and cybersecurity company based in Brantford, Ontario. We support many long-term clients across a wide range of industries, providing managed IT services, Microsoft 365 administration, cloud services, cybersecurity, server infrastructure, networking, backup, and technical support.

We are a small, experienced team looking for a dependable and knowledgeable IT Administrator who can work independently, communicate professionally with clients, and contribute to the continued growth of our company.

This is a permanent, in-office position and is not suitable for remote applicants.

Position Summary

The IT Administrator will provide technical support and systems administration for our managed clients. The successful candidate will work with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server environments, networks, workstations, security systems, backups, and other business technology.

The role includes remote technical support from our Brantford office as well as travel to client locations when required. You must be comfortable troubleshooting technical problems, documenting your work, communicating directly with clients, and taking responsibility for issues through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID, user accounts, groups, licensing, authentication, and access.
  • Support Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025 environments.
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file servers, print servers, and virtualization.
  • Troubleshoot Windows workstations, laptops, business applications, printers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve network, internet, VPN, Wi-Fi, switching, and firewall issues.
  • Provide remote support from the office and technical support at client locations.
  • Assist with server, network, workstation, and Microsoft 365 migrations.
  • Perform new user onboarding, employee offboarding, workstation deployments, and account changes.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, endpoint security, email security, and cybersecurity systems.
  • Install and replace servers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, UPS units, and other infrastructure.
  • Work in server rooms and data Centre environments when required.
  • Maintain accurate service tickets, technical documentation, passwords, asset records, and client information.
  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding technical issues, recommendations, progress, and next steps.
  • Follow established security procedures and protect confidential client information.
  • Coordinate with team members, vendors, internet providers, and software support companies.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Proven professional experience in IT administration, systems administration, or managed IT support.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networks.
  • Strong Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and follow them through to resolution.
  • Professional-level spoken and written English is essential due to frequent client communication and technical documentation.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and documentation habits.
  • Ability to manage multiple client requests and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
  • Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client locations.
  • Must currently reside in Brantford or Brant County. Applications from outside Brant County will not be considered.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred Experience

The following experience would be considered a strong asset:

  • Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider, or MSP.
  • Ubiquiti UniFi gateways, switches, wireless access points, and network management.
  • Experience providing technical support at business client locations.
  • Data centre or server room experience.
  • Hyper-V virtualization and failover clustering.
  • Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 security administration.
  • Backup platforms such as Veeam.
  • Endpoint security, monitoring, and remote management platforms.
  • Firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, VLAN configuration, and multi-site business networks.
  • Server migrations, tenant migrations, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
  • Cybersecurity standards, policies, incident response, or compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting clients in multiple industries.

Location Requirement

This is an in-office position based at our Brantford, Ontario office. The employee will also travel to client locations throughout Brantford and Brant County and beyond as required.
