Location: ScarboroughRole OverviewThis is a hands-on senior accounting role supporting a production-driven manufacturing environment. The position is designed to own day-to-day accounting execution, ERP integrity, and process improvement while freeing up time for the Controller.This is not a traditional Accounting Manager role and is not a pure FP&A or pricing strategy position. It is best suited for a Senior Accountant or CPA-track professional who is strong operationally, comfortable working alongside production teams, and focused on accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement.The facility operates 24/7. - Full-cycle accounting including bank and credit card reconciliations
- Month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- HST/GST and sales tax filings
- AP/AR oversight and review
- Support year-end close, audits, and external advisors
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules
- Own accounting activities within QuickBooks and ensure alignment with ERP / production-side systems
- Ensure accuracy between accounting data, order processing, inventory, and job costing
- Partner with operations to validate costs, pricing inputs, and production data
- Support ERP clean-up, reporting enhancements, and workflow improvements
- Improve system discipline across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles
- Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy tied to manufacturing output
- Support process checks, QA-related reporting, and accuracy controls
- Assist with contract performance and margin reporting (analysis support, not pricing ownership)
- Identify inefficiencies, errors, and gaps; implement continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
- Improve close timelines, reconciliation processes, and reporting reliability
- 3 -5 years of lead or management experience with accounting experience in manufacturing or production-driven environments
- CPA or CPA-track (new immigrants strongly encouraged to apply)
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Bank reconciliations
