Mechanical Estimator
Our client is a well-established and growing mechanical contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-purity stainless steel process piping systems. They deliver complex projects across a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage, water treatment, automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, and other highly regulated environments.Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work on technically challenging projects while building a long-term career with a stable organization.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical and process piping projects.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Prepare quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications.
  • Review tender documents, RFPs, contracts, and project specifications.
  • Develop complete project estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
  • Prepare, review, and submit complete bid packages.
  • Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid meetings as required.
  • Support project handoff meetings to assist the operations team with planning and budgeting.
  • Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and bid documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and the estimating team throughout the bidding process.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting salary of up to $95,000 annually (based on experience)
