Support Worker
Passionate about providing compassionate care? Join our team as a Support Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults aged 2-17.
This role requires an open and flexible individual willing to work closely with a family in need.
May include Day shifts, evening, weekend, and overnight care in the family's home.
Candidates must have experience working with teens facing mental health challenges, including high-risk situations, trauma-informed care, and effective support strategies.Additionally, staff should be engaging, fun, attentive, and able to stay off electronics during their shifts. This is not a position for someone who sits back and observes; you must be proactive and actively involved in supporting this child.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respite care and support with daily activities
- Administer medications as instructed
- Prepare meals meeting dietary needs
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and G-tubes
- Offer companionship and plan engaging activities
- Perform light housekeeping
Qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving
- Knowledge of medication procedures
- Physical ability to lift and assist
- Strong communication and caring attitude
- Confidentiality commitment
Requirements:
- Valid First Aid
- Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- CFS Intervention Check
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
