Carpenter

Archibald Builder Group is seeking Carpenters and Apprentice Carpenters for current and upcoming projects.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise carpentry work.
• Construct, install, and repair frameworks such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roofing using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform concrete forming and rebar installation for foundations and structural elements.
• Install cabinetry, flooring, tiles, siding, and other finishing components with attention to detail.
• Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged woodwork and structures.
• Measure accurately and cut materials to specifications using saws, drills, and other woodworking tools.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining safety protocols.
  Requirements
• Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields with a strong understanding of woodworking techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and material calculations.
• Experience with masonry, roofing, siding installation, plumbing, electrical work, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with concrete forming, rebar installation, tile laying, flooring installation, caulking, drywall finishing, and construction painting.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project needs; handyman experience is advantageous.
• Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, lifting heavy materials safely, and working at heights when necessary.

Wages dependent on experience $18.00 to $45.00 per hour
40-60 hours a week.

Thunder Bay in town work.
