Columbia Basin Trust is seeking a Manager, Procurement & Operations to join our team. This position is responsible for the management and administration of the Trust's procurement activities and corporate operations including facilities management and office support. This role works closely with the Trust's power generation facilities to ensure services/materials are sourced efficiently and competitively. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Castlegar, where you'll enjoy a collaborative and supportive team environment and the unique lifestyle of the West Kootenay region.The salary range for this position is $100,600 – $118,200.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement & Operations, you will:Lead procurement activities including public tendering (RFP/ITQ/RFSQ), contractor/supplier selection, tender and bid meetings, evaluations, negotiations, awards, and debriefings. Manage sourcing and purchasing by determining the best source of supply following best practice and procedures, issuing purchase orders, coordinating material delivery, and maintaining supplier relationships. Provide procurement training and reporting through staff education, procurement activity analysis, and continuous process improvement. Support contract management including amendments, dispute resolution, workflow standardization, vendor management, and invoice discrepancy resolution. Work in coordination with the Trust's contracted Facilities Manager on all aspects of facilities management at the four corporate offices in Castlegar, Nakusp, Cranbrook and Golden.Provide Office Services team leadership and guidance to direct reports.Strengthen organizational effectiveness by implementing best practices and fostering strong internal and external relationships.What We're Looking ForBusiness administration education, supported by a university degree or diploma, or equivalent training. Supply chain management certification.Procurement experience with a minimum of five years in purchasing, contract administration, and vendor management. Ability to travel within the Basin.Public sector procurement knowledge including familiarity with BC tendering guidelines and processes would be considered an asset.
