Fabrication Mould Technician

Shifts: Day 6:00am-3:00pm Monday - Friday. OT after 40hrs

Wage: $23.00 per hour

Job Description:

• Ensures that proper machine lockouts are performed on equipment.
• Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in welding and carpentry.
• Cut, shape, and fit materials to create parts and components for moulds.
• Assemble mould components using methods such as screwing, welding, or other appropriate techniques to form the final mould.
• Determine the optimal method and sequence of tasks to complete assigned work efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure that setups align with shop drawings and written instructions.
• Fabricate moulds in accordance with specified guidelines and tolerances.
• Report material requirements to the Plant Manager or Production Supervisor in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Read/interpret drawings, sketches, and other construction documents.
• Work in a team environment.
• Operation of various hand, power, and mechanical equipment.
• Weld with Mig or Arc.
• Ability to use basic arithmetic.
• Ability to measure in metric units and imperial.
• Ability to rig, hoist, and move materials/moulds to areas within the plant.
• Perform tasks independently and in a team environment.
• Proactive thinker and self-starter.
