Job Summary:

Rico's Painting & Decor Ltd. is looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated Painter to join our growing team. We specialize in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects throughout Alberta and take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, can work independently or as part of a team, and is committed to producing high-quality finishes that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling, patching, caulking, and priming to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Perform drywall repairs and surface restoration before painting.
• Read and interpret project specifications and work orders.
• Safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and spray equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and project managers throughout each project.
• Work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Follow all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential and commercial painting experience.
• Strong cutting, rolling, and spraying skills.
• Experience operating airless spray equipment.
• Knowledge of proper surface preparation and finishing techniques.
• Experience with drywall repairs, patching, and restoration.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
