Project Accountant
Our client, a growing organization in the construction and project services industry, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role will be responsible for managing project financials, supporting project profitability, and ensuring accurate reporting, billing, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Manage project setup, budgets, contracts, change orders, costs, and profitability within the ERP system.
• Prepare project financial reports, forecasts, cash flow analysis, and variance reporting.
• Monitor project performance metrics, including costs, schedules, earned value, and burn rates.
• Generate and review invoices, oversee collections, and support accounts payable processes.
• Participate in project meetings and provide financial insights to operations teams.
• Support subcontractor administration, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Complete project closeout activities, including final reconciliations and post-project analysis.

Your Strengths Include:

• 3 years of accounting or project accounting experience.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field is an asset.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based environments preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.
